Hello again, after a fun week of craft projects for the Michaels Pinterest Party  last Sunday...I am ready to get back into my usual "junk project mode".  I'm hoping to have some thing to show you soon :)

Until then, I thought I'd show you a few things I brought into our booth at Antiques Downtown last week...

So "Last Year"...a look back at the best of 2013...

I wasn't going to do a "Best of 2013" post...

Since I'm in cleaning, organizing and purging mode here I decided to do a round up of some organizing ideas from 2013 instead...

But then it got REALLY cold...and school was cancelled so my kids were home...and all my big "plans" didn't seem as important as getting "cozy" with my kiddos for a couple more days.

Then I started peeking around at all of the fun "Best of 2013" posts and I got curious...are you curious too? 

Maybe nobody else cares...but since I don't have anything else to share I'm going to show you anyway...OK?

I was hesitant to post this tour of our "less than perfect" home...but as my 2nd most viewed post of 2013...I guess it turned out OK.  You all must love "Home Tours" as much as I do??

And the #1 most viewed post here last year was...

The thing that makes me extra happy about this post being the most viewed is that it features this amazing sign made by my dear friend and booth partner Joan(aka Signs of the Times).

So that's that...and now I'd better run and "move on" to 2014.  The kiddos are back in school and it's time to "focus" on getting back into a routine.

Thinking ORGANIZATION...with Junk...

As I start the New Year, my mind always goes to "Fresh Start"...which means lots purging and re-organizing.

Here's a little peek back at 10 things we did here to get organized with JUNK in 2013.

I have always been a "collector"...I try to tame the "clutter" using shelves and vignettes.

We used drawers and crates galore for organizing in our Coffee Station gone CRAZY!!

And we used another drawer and some salvaged hooks in our little Chippy Bathroom Redo.

And speaking of organizing small spaces...

We lofted the beds in both of our kids' rooms last year.

Memo boards are great for getting things organized...even better when using salvaged and re-purposed finds.

This one doubles as a window seat.

The Quiet After Christmas...still enjoying...

December 25th has come and gone.  

Now it's time to put away the "list"...

...and enjoy "THE Gift" that lasts forever.

My family celebrates over New Years...so I keep the decorations up and twinkling so I stay in the "Spirit"...and enjoy them a just a little bit longer...

A Couple More Drawer Shelves...and a "coffee station" gone crazy!!

It all started with a couple more drawer shelves...

...and turned into a coffee station gone CRAZY :)

I had my husband help me hang and couple more shelves today...

It started innocently enough...

A couple of drawers on the wall...add a metal pan and a cabbage slicer for photos.

Throw in a bottomless crate, a couple of clocks and some blue bottles and pitchers.

But it still needed "something"...

...enter a couple of license plates and a cool yardstick...MILK, CREAM, EGGS...perfect :)

And then the thought..."I've always wanted a "Coffee Station".

And then of course those little built in shelves needed a "tweaking" to coordinate.

Coffee time?

Or are you a "tea person"?

Remember my little K-cup stand?

Not coffee time?  Just close it up...

Does that ever happen to you??  "Snowball effect"?  I'm kinda "famous" for it at my house.  My husband's exact words were "Whoa, that's a lot".  He'll get used to it...and then I'll start "tweaking" again!!

The Bathroom...adding some "chippy" charm...

For Mother's Day my sweet husband did some painting in our "Master" bathroom.  We went from green to an "aqua-like" blue.  It wasn't exactly the color I thought it would be based on that little paint swatch...but I just decided to go with it.  A bright happy color might be fun for a change??

Rather that talk through all the little details I thought I would just show you the "before and after" and you can play a little game of "What's different?" :) 

This was the last bit of green at our house....

Now I think the room coordinates better with the grays and neutrals of the rest of the house....

Of course lots of "chippy" touches.

I LOVE my new "towel holders".

And speaking of towels...

Are you a "match-y" towel person?

Not me...I like to mix and match colors and patterns.  I went with a black, white and grey scheme this time.

What do you think of my new foot hooks?

So that's it...

My tiny little "Master" bathroom.  Someday I dream of a claw foot tub and "spa-like" experience.  Then I remind myself I'm not really a fan of bathroom cleaning and I am thankful for what I have :)
