They are hanging in my GREAT ROOM.

And I showed you this sign my friend Joan made that I bought this fall...

More "Snow"...winter paper garland and more decor....

In my last post I showed you the "forests" that started popping up at my house after the Christmas decor was packed away...

Well, it's still "snowing" here :)

Do you remember the hutch my husband made me with windows we purchased on our honeymoon? (Read the story HERE...it was one of my first posts ever!!)

It's always a fun place to do a great big "focal" display :)

A collection of old mirrors and rusty finds.  Those big snowflakes are actually a table runner I bought a few years ago. It's made the "rounds" at my house...but never on my table ;)

These old jack stands make fun "tree-like" ornament holders...don't you think?  And "unexpected" addition to an otherwise "frilly" display...just the way I like it :)

The garland is just old book pages with snowflakes stamped out in different sizes.  But the "hooks" holding the twine is the BEST part...

I found 2 of these old chippy latches at and antique store...it was "love at first sight" :)

One on each side of my also chippy screen...and there you go.

And there's that fun sign my friend Joan (Signs of the Times) made for me...still love it!!

Winter Wonderland...little "forests" popping up at my house...

Well, the Christmas decor is pretty much packed away for another year...I really have a hard time "letting it go".  My 5 year old felt the same way...

...so I decided to leave a few "trees" out for her.

Why not?  After all, we live in Minnesota...there's a lot more winter to "enjoy"!!

Complete with snow.

Do you love my little aqua box?  I got it at Marshall's.

I got these white trees there too.  They were supposed to be for jewelry...but as you know, I rarely use things "as intended".  What fun would that be??

Here's another little "forest" on the buffet...next to my birthday gift from my husband and kiddos...Amazing Grace, How Sweet the Sound.  It's from DaySpring.com...OK, so now you know, not everything I own is DIY, thrifted and repurposed "junk".  Gasp!!!  But mostly ;)

And here's my version of the "Funnel Tree"...on candle sticks :)

Things have been pretty messy around here. 
In my last post I told you I wasn't ready to take down Christmas quite yet. Well, now I am...and I'm almost done.  But you know how that goes...packing, sorting, cleaning...rearranging.  I'm under a big pile here!!  I'll keep on "digging" and show you what I've been up to...but until then, I thought I'd jump on the chance to peek back at the most popular posts here at CwC from 2012...partly because I wanted something to post so I could pop in to say "Hi"...and partly because I was curious too :)

Not Quite Ready...



Forgive me...again ;)

 

 

Things still look a "little bit" Christmas-y around here.

 

 

I'm just not quite ready to pack it all up...not yet.

 

 

Maybe it's because it all went so fast...I didn't get to show you everything.

 

 

...like this rusty "crown" around my nativity.  Or those spring-y bottle trees.

 

 

Or my twinkling basket bouquets.

 

 

...with these cool "Fire Bombs"...another fun gift from my Country Junk friends.

 

 

Or maybe it's because my sweet hubby and I both did a little extrs celebrating over the Holidays.  We BOTH had a "big" birthday.

 

 

All those wreaths came in handy ;)

 

 

I guess it's probably a combination of all those things...and more  But whatever the reason...I'm going to enjoy the "twinkle" for a few more days.  I'll pack it all away this weekend...and be back to "normal" next week.
