The "Center" of Christmas...

I have been collecting nativity sets for years now...I like to tuck them in all over my house to help keep the focus on the real meaning of Christmas...

This one is making it's appearance in the dining room centerpiece.

I have been collecting these glass candy jar trees at the thrift stores to fill with shredded sheet music.

And this is a glass hanging vase flipped upside down...add a little greens, looks like a "tree" to me :)

And a glass ornament with shredded music ties it in with the other trees.

I tucked these white chippy faucet handles in here and there because I think they look like snowflakes...wish I had more.

Now back to that real meaning of Christmas...

There were shepherds.

And there were kings.

But most importantly there was a baby...

For to you is born this day in the town of David a Savior, who is Christ, the Messiah, the Lord!
Luke 2:11, Amplified Bible

Continue "fussing" and baking and gifting my friends...but never forget the reason.

Sharing at...

Blessings,

  7. I so love this! I love that you don't have a 'stable' and that you've set it up on books and surrounded it with such beautiful and creative things! The tree jars are perfect and so is the 'upside down' vase! And those faucets??? WAY cute!

  8. Hi Laurel! My twelve year old daughter just finished setting up our nativity scene while I was putzing with other things. I turned around only to discover that she had continued the lights from the stable, up the french doors, around the curtain rods...

When she asked what I thought, I did what any good mom would do, I lied! Lied through my teeth, right there in front of that little baby Jesus! What'cha gonna do??

  14. Love all your decorations, but the nativity pieces are really special displayed that way.
I didn't know you did the music sheet ornaments too or I would have linked to you too when I posted about making mine. I'm way behind on my blog reading!
