Trunk or Treat...Candy Land style...

Hope everyone had a happy Halloween :)
We had fun passing out candy at the annual "Trunk or Treat" at our church.  Here are a few pictures of our "Candy Land" trunk...

I got the inspiration for the XXL suckers from a picture I found on Pinterest.  I showed my husband the picture and this is what he came up with.  I wish I would have had more fluffy white "frosting" to cover up those lovely bases.  Oh well, next year :)

I had fun gathering and making the giant candy pieces.

My little "Obi-Wan" thought it was pretty cool :)

My sweet hubby and I "chilled"...literally...at the car greeting the little trunk or treaters.  (FYI, he has really nice hazel eyes...you'll just have imagine them...since this is the only photo I have of us last night...hehe)  We gave out so much candy that I actually had to pull the lolly pops from my pig-tails.  Great turn-out...fun night :)

Hope every one had a great Halloween!

  1. This year we only had several tricksters, good thing I bought candy that I like. (But, I really shouldn't eat it). Now its full stream ahead getting the gifts ready to mail. Happy day Marti

  4. This looks like so much fun, such a festive way to enjoy Halloween. I really like those bases...just the right amount of rust. Very clever. We had very few little goblins last night and were left with about 3/4 of the candy we bought. Not a problem as long as I don't look at it.

  6. Oh my gosh, Laurel, that looks so awesome! I love the big lollipops and the over-sized Hershey bars and lifesavers! I bet you had some kids asking for those ones, lol. I've never seen a 'trunk or treat' before but it looks like such a great (and safe) way for little ones to trick or treat! ~Kerri

  9. Our church does trunk or treat but we don't decorate like you did. That is the cutest thing. You did so much work to welcome the little ones to your "trunk". I'm a new follower and I look forward to reading more posts.

  10. Oh that looks cool - how fun! We don't get any trick or treaters here - the kids all go down to the high-density neigbourhoods, oh well!
