Chipping with Charm: Christmas Tote and a Sled Table...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

I am so very excited to be a part of this fun junk "event" today.
Junkers United and the 12 days of Christmas groups are combining to bring you even more creative junk ideas for Christmas!

!2 Days Intro on Funky Junk Interiors

I'll start by showing you what I am bringing to the party today...

I actually have a couple of things to show you here.

Chipping with Charm: Tote with a Silo Step Handle...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

I started with this tote I made out of a little rustic little crate with sections.  Added a "unique" piece of an old yard stick..."Distinctively Different! Daringly New!".

The handle is a step from a silo...I had a stack of them waiting for a new "purpose".

Then, I filled it with a little "Christmas Cheer"...

Fresh greens, blue glass, springs and candy canes..."a few of my favorite things".

"Delight"

And a sweet little face for "good measure" :)

I just needed an "equally" festive place to enjoy it...

...and the sled coffee table was "born".
Three metal crates and a vintage sled.

It sat pretty sturdy...but I tied the sled to the crate with some twine just to be sure.  A little snowflake embellishment helps the twine to "blend in".
(I didn't want to do anything permanent since those metal crates come in very handy for other things the other 11 months of the year.)

A cozy little place to enjoy a cup of coffee or cocoa.

If you are new here, WELCOME!
I love collecting and re-purposing discarded items to create a home that's "Chipping with Charm".
I've already shared a few Christmas re-purposing ideas...but I have LOTS more to come!

Your tote is just too darling! Your room looks so cozy and I love that you can re-use the metal crates under the sled whenever the mood strikes :) I have a couple of sleds I want to use as tables, too. We'll see if I get around to it...
