"O Stove Grate Christmas Tree, O Stove Grate Christmas Tree"...a "challenge"...

First of all I will say I'm sorry...I'm one of "those"...I can't wait to start Christmas decorating!!  But I do usually wait until after thanksgiving...but this is an exception...

I was given these "tree like" stove grates by my friends Larry and Cindy from the Country Junk Sale...and issued the "challenge" of what to do with them :)
Here's what I came up with...

The hardest ones first...what would you have done??

First I used my "Amazing Goop" to add some chippy hardware to cover up the "antenna" like opening at the top...

...and then, I just happened to have a couple matching planters.  The base of the grate/burner fit right inside...meant to be??  I used a little "Amazing Goop" to hold it in place too.

I added some rocks...because they were a little "top-heavy".

Some "greens" and a little embellishing...which you know I love :)
Finished...OK, 2 down 1 to go...

This one came a little easier for me...

More crusty hardware...placed "like so"...to complete the "tree-like" look.

And some more "do dad's" :)

and "Challenge Complete"!

What do you think??
And yes, they are already displayed proudly in my home.  Don't judge me...I can't help myself!!

My thoughts and prayers go out to those of you struggling with cleanup after Hurricane Sandy!!  I have been literally "speechless" about the whole thing...so hard to imagine.  Know that my family joins others across the country and around the world in prayer for YOU!!

Blessings,
