Chipping with Charm: Faux Chalkboard Canvases Old Signs Stencils...www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com
I love all the fun chalkboard art out there...but unfortunately I was not "gifted" with chalk =board skills...so I grabbed some cool stencils and faked it...

Nativity Silhouette...ice chest Christmas vignette...

Chipping with Charm: Rustic "Tree" Christmas Mantel...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

The other day I shared our RUSTIC "TREE" CHRISTMAS MANTEL.

The other place I enjoy giving an "extra" touch is the the top of the antique ice chest.

Chipping with Charm:Nativity Silhouette Christmas Vignette...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

This year, I used a vintage wood nativity silhouette from the thrift store...painted white.

The "chalkboard" stable is actually the top of a child sized table.  It hasn't seen its legs in months.

The atlas was from the .15 cent bin at the Goodwill.

My favorite rustic aqua box...from HomeGoods a while back.

And lots of glass and little trees...of course.

I think I'm finally ready to pack up the decorating piles and move on to the gifts and wrapping here.  But I still have more to show you.  Are you sick of me yet?

Rustic "Tree" Mantel...Christmas 2013

Chipping with Charm: Rustic "Tree" Mantel...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

If you've been following my posts this Christmas, you might have noticed a bit of a "tree theme" going on here.

Chipping with Charm: Crate Tree...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

And my CRATE TREE?

Chipping with Charm: Rustic "Tree" Mantel...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

Do you see the tree in my mantel?

...chalkboard branches?

The lights "highlight" the tree shape.

Do you like my tin "garland"?

Chipping with Charm: Large Barn Tin Star...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

My husband cut out a bunch of stars from barn tin for our booth at ANTIQUES DOWNTOWN.  Of course I kept a few.  There are big ones...

...and smaller ones.

What do you think?  Can you see the "tree"?

Important safety note:
My husband informed me that the scarf might not be "safe" draped there in front of the fireplace...so it has been removed...sniff, sniff.  Some times I get carried away when "styling"...but nothing looks "cute" in a fire...unless its sweet, white and on a stick. Right??

"Mystery Junk" for Christmas...mini trees and more insulators...

Chipping with Charm: Mystery Junk, mini molds and more insulators for Christmas...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

Chipping with Charm: Mystery Junk, mini molds and more insulators for Christmas...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

Does anybody know what this is?
I have no clue what it was...

Chipping with Charm: Mystery Junk, mini molds and more insulators for Christmas...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

But add a perfectly chippy salvaged gray trim piece...

...and a little snow and some mini trees.

Chipping with Charm: mini molds and insulator votive holder...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

I made these little votive holders a few years ago by gluing a little ceramic insulator to a mini mold...perfect spot for a tiny tree :)

And you've got yourself another simple, junky decorating idea.

I gave it a place of "honor" in the guest bathroom :)

Aqua Glass Insulator Trees...more early Christmas ideas...

Chipping with Charm: Aqua Glass Insulator Trees...http://chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

Another tree project for our booth at Antiques Downtown.

Chipping with Charm: Aqua Glass Insulator Trees...http://chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

Last Christmas I shared some a "tree" I assembled using a blue glass insulator and a chippy light fixture base...visit that post HERE.

Chipping with Charm: Aqua Glass Insulator Trees...http://chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

This year I took that idea and "ran" with it.

Chipping with Charm: Aqua Glass Insulator Trees...http://chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

I made short ones...

Chipping with Charm: Aqua Glass Insulator Trees...http://chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

...and tall ones.
Some had the wood still attached, which made fun "trunks".

Chipping with Charm: Aqua Glass Insulator Trees...http://chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

I just love them all grouped together in a little "forest".

Chipping with Charm: Aqua Glass Insulator Trees...http://chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

All you need is a base...I used bases from an old pull cord light.
I glued the glass insulators to the base with "Amazing Goop" glue.

Thanks for visiting...

Photo Holder Christmas Tree...my first official Christmas project...

Chipping with Charm: Postcard Holder to Christmas Tree...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

Well, it's official...I'm thinking Christmas.

Chipping with Charm: Our booth "Christmas Trees For Sale"...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

We added Christmas to our booth at Antiques Downtown last week...so that got me going.

Chipping with Charm: Our booth "Christmas Trees For Sale"...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

We decided on a "Christmas Trees for Sale" theme...so I've been focusing on re-purposed tree ideas.

(These are just a couple of quick pictures I took with my phone.  We plan to go back and add some twinkle lights...so I'll take better pictures then to show you more.)

Chipping with Charm: Postcard Holder to Christmas Tree, before...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

And now everything is starting to look like a "tree"...including this old post card holder.

Chipping with Charm: Postcard Holder to Christmas Tree...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

I just tied on some twine in a tree shape...top to bottom.

Chipping with Charm: Postcard Holder to Christmas Tree...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

Added some keys and buttons for "ornaments".

Chipping with Charm: Postcard Holder to Christmas Tree...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

And of course you need a pretty "topper".

Chipping with Charm: Postcard Holder to Christmas Tree...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

Just add photos or cards and you've got yourself a conversation piece for the Holidays.

So how about you...ready to get started on Christmas??  Before blogging I always waited until the weekend after Thanksgiving.  But since I'm already in the "spirit" and I don't entertain for Thanksgiving...I'm thinking I might as well get started.  Then I can enjoy it for the whole month of December :)
