Springing for the Wine...

Hello's another idea that I posted "way back when" on Junk Market Style...and I've been happily making them ever since.

Such a simple idea...this was the original style with the words.  Great for a hostess gift don't you think?

But they've evolved more into something like this.

An old rusty bed spring...sprayed with a coat of matte poly.  And little junky bits tied on with twine...

...or ribbon, what ever suits you :)

Not a wine drinker???  I think they are just as cute sitting about like this.  Or add them to another type of bottle or vase for a flower...sweet and simple...

Here they are all lined up to sell at the recent JunkMarket Under Glass event in Sept...and sell they did :)

Sharing this idea at...

Hope to see you there :)

So glad you stopped by!
Chat soon,

  5. You're a genious! This is such a great idea for a hostess gift. We always bring a nice bottle of wine, this is just the perfect touch to make it feel special.
Do you cut off the top flare on the coil? (mine are flared on both ends.
    I must try this idea!

  8. This is a really novel idea, I like it... quite often the old bottles we discover out in our Desert Treks need dressing up a bit & this would compliment the age and beauty of the old glass!
