"Angelic" Makeover...

So you might remember these...

The candle stick finials I made a while can see that post HERE.

I just thought they were pretty little "set abouts"...and after carting them to 2 stores and a couple of shows...and selling one or two...I decided maybe they needed a new life, a change, a fresh start...been there :)

I roughly cut the wings out of cardboard...using my hands as a template...just like I did my Springy Angels.

Remember these?  If not...see more HERE.

I adjusted the pattern a little bit for the smaller ones.  If my kiddos would have been home I would have used their little time :)

Wrapped the base in twine...and added a little vintage sparkle.

The wings are just clipped on with little mini clothes pins in the back...simple and sweet I think.

And now these little "lovelies" are going to head out to one more show...

Wish them luck :)

Thanks for stopping,

  1. As cute as your little angels are, they are going to fly right off your table. You have crafty hands.

  2. These are darling, Laurel! A very creative idea! :)

  3. Another clever idea -- you are so creative!! ~Marge

  4. The remake looks really nice. Good luck at your show.

  5. I know what you mean when you make something you think is so cute and then turns out not to be the big hit you thought it would be. Then something you think is 'eh' flies and you end up making more, even if it's not as fun for you. Weird, you just never know.

Good luck at Junk Market Under Glass! Hopefully someday a trip up north will coincide with that event.

  6. These are so darling and thank you for sharing them at my party.

  7. So charming, Laurel! Thank you for sharing your creativity at Potpourri Friday!

  8. I like how you made wings out of cardboard.
