Clean Sweep??? An unlikely addition to my fall tablescape...

When I was tooling around my local thrift store the other day I came across this old broom top...

It was "screaming" fall grass/hay to me.  At first I had second thoughts about using it on my table...but I got over it.  It actually looked clean and new...but I took my vacuum to it too.  Just in case ;)

I tucked some tarnished utensils in here and there...

And added assorted leaves...some cut from old book pages and some gathered by my kiddos outside.

In case you don't believe me...here you can see the hole for the handle :)

Here's a peek around at some of the other items...

Cute little pumpkins layered on stacks of old weights and rusty saw blades.

These vintage knob photo holders reminded me of little rusty pumpkins with the sheet music leaves attached.

Fall tablescape done.
I love fall decorating...especially when it comes to repurposing with unexpected details.

Hope to see you there!

  1. LOL! I love it!!! Who knew an old push broom would make such a great fall centerpiece... And when you're finished with it you can put the handle back on and put it back in the garage! You are always thinking!

That kinda looks like a long Hedge Hog! Cute idea, but I am glad you vacuumed it case any creepy crawlers were hiding in it ;)

Thanks for sharing at my party!
