Call me crazy...
...but these old meat forks went from steaks to stakes ;)
What can I say, they charmed me with their chippy handles.
I bought these little wooden tags at Micheal's...used a little bitty hand drill to make holes. Sprayed them gray and then wiped them with white...then sanded them down. A little "fussy" but I like the look. Then I added the stamped sayings...also from Micheal's for .49 cents each...good deal huh?
Then I added a few junky embellishments and tied them on with twine. I think this one is my favorite with that little number on there.
Are they charming you yet?
And I'll just be honest and tell you...I had to run up to the store to get a plant to photograph it in. It looks a little sad doesn't it? We'll see if I can "revive" it...doubtful...plants don't live long here.
So what do you think? Should we add this to the "What is she thinking???" file with the EGG YOLK SEPARATOR FLOWERS and the SHOE STRETCHER FLOWERS? Or maybe a closer resemblance to the TABLE FORK and FAUCET HANDLE FLOWERS. There seems to be a "theme" here...
