Confession,
I am hesitant to show you my mantel this Christmas...
I am really working at "simplifying" things this time around...and frankly I like some of the things that have been on my mantel for a while now. So that's that...forgive me ;)
I have been having LOTS of fun with these big ball type lights this year. I like them "as is" hanging here and there. I didn't even try to hide them. To me they are like a garland...so fun draped and twisted around here and there.
And really fun and bright at night...
...LOVE...

Hope everyone is having a great week!!
Blessings,
I'm simplifying too. Some might not guess that though. I didn't hang garland or drape it over the mantel this year...I sort of miss it, but will not when it comes time to clear the decorations out this year. I have started using a dresser to store my most used decorations so this year I used only what was in the dresser and a couple of small boxes. Hope you have a simple Christmas filled with lots of blessings! Vicki
ReplyDeleteThanks for freeing us up to show our cords -- LOL! I haven't created much new for Christmas this year and that's okay. I like your mantle and the warm, simplicity of it! I'll be the fresh greens smell so good!
ReplyDeleteI like the tray, the big light string, the garland with clothespin greenery, and all of your white decorations.
ReplyDeleteI love it! My mantle is in the corner and a corner one with the t.v. having to go on top. It is hard to decorate. Any ideas?
ReplyDeleteI left my mercury glass on the mantle for Halloween and Christmas. Just added greenery for Christmas, swag of real pine and some juniper in the vase. White glass pinecones and a candle. Going the same route and simplifying. Also, I have no more room to store things. ;-)
ReplyDeleteSimplyfing is the new simple :) I love simple
ReplyDeleteLovely! The entire ensemble and particularly love that darling twine, twig and clothespin wreath. . .ingenious!! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteYour mantel is lovely, Laurel...I especially love the greenery sprigs clothespinned to the twine...so sweet!
ReplyDeleteLaurel! Love this...so simple and cozy. Did you share this over at Danielle's of Finding Silver Pennies? Hope so...we're co-hosting the Home for the Holidays linky party this week and today I am hosting a show off of Christmas trees! Hope you can link up! Thanks for following my blog! Love yours!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Love the white and the natural elements - and that mirror is awesome!
ReplyDeleteOk, so you took simple sprigs of tree and clothes pinned them on and I love it. I can do that, but how come my mind just doesn't think of that?
ReplyDeleteBliss
I love how simple your mantel is. The mirror at the back is gorgeous and I love the greenery. I also really love those light especially in your night shots. :) Thanks for sharing at our Home for the Holidays link party.
ReplyDeleteI, personally, love your simple mantel! I think it has just the right amount of nice touches! I simplified all my decorations this year, as well. Kind of goes hand in hand with the massive decluttering I have been doing of my whole house. Heck, I even started a series on it, "Decluttering 101", lol!
ReplyDeleteThose bulbs are so nostalgic looking. And I love the way you've clipped sprigs of greenery with clothespins. It should look a lot less sophisticated than it does. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteCame to you through Hometalk
Awwwh, so peaceful. Thank you for sharing your beautiful mantel.
