Have you heard about the fun new linky party going on over at "Junker Newbie's"?
It's called Would You Buy It Wednesday. Clever huh? I'll be linking up for the first time this week...so here goes...
You might remember this "little beauty" from THIS post a while back. I bought it with some "fun money" my hubby gave me for Mother's Day. It says "Meyers Unloader". You know what that is right? Me neither...I just thought it was cool...
Another angle...still cool...but I still haven't figured out exactly what to do with it.
So like I've said before..."when all else fails, flip it upside down..."
"...and put a plant in it." RIGHT?
Preferrably an Ikea (fake) succulent plant...sad but true, it's all I can keep alive. But in case you are wondering....my kids are well cared for :)
So now I want to know "Would you buy it?" and what in the world would YOU do with it???
Remember to hop over to...
See you there!
Too funny! I just passed 5 of them up yesterday! I stood there FOREVER wanting to buy them but had no idea what to do with them. I'll have to give the guy a call back and run out there to get just one for my fake plants! Thanks for filling in the blank spot I had!
ReplyDeleteHey Laurel! Nice use for your "unloader" and don't you just love the "rustiness"?? I have one too (at least the bottom half of it), and I've used mine for a plant holder, and also used it to hold a cute little vintage Christmas tree as a centerpiece for the holidays (it unscrewed so I could put my tree securely in the opening). They are so cool! And...you'll notice your hay unloader was made in Ashland, Ohio - about ten miles from Mansfield.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy day my friend!
Kathy
I would buy it, for sure, but would be even happier if I just found it in trash pile, lol. It looks great with your drought proof plant!

I would definitely have purchased this treasure, although I don't know if I would have been clever enough to put a plant in it! I love it and hope I run across one soon! :)
ReplyDeleteI love this! Can't say I would have been smart enough to turn it upsidedown like you did though. I probably would have put it on a shelf with some books or something.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to my party!

Laurel you unloader is really cool. I'm not sure I would have bought it but now that I've seen yours I would. Love it as a plant holder. I can see it in my yard on or on my deck! Glad you joined Stephanie's party this week. Hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteOk, you know I'd buy it, it's old, it's rusty and I wouldn't know what I was doing with it. I like your planter idea, if all else fails put a plant in it. I just linked up to the "Would you buy that" party too, cute idea!

Cute post and great idea! Fake plants are the only ones that live at my house too! At first glance, I probably would have walked past it, but after seeing it in your post, I probably would have went back for it!
ReplyDeleteI'd have bought it! Looks great with the greenery. And that linky party sounds like fun, i'm going to join it with my thrift store chicken feeder!
ReplyDeleteNo question....I would have bought it! It's a great looking industrial piece. It looks wonderful as a plant stand.

Yes, I would buy it. I sold one for $50.00 and then watched as the next one in our mall sold for $95. They are rusty, metal, industrial, and country chic. The old hay pulley has it all. Also thanks for being a follower.
ReplyDeleteGood job,
Lisa
Love your idea-I'm your newest follower!!
ReplyDeleteI just found you from Homeroad. I've been reading back through your posts and our styles are very similar...I'm a new follower! Nice to "meet" you. Lisa~
ReplyDeleteThat is really pretty, but I'm afraid I don't know what it is either. I love old rusty items and I like the way you have used it.

I think it is amazing. I would buy it. I would not have thought of turning it upside down. Love it as a plant holder.
ReplyDeleteYou clever girl! It's perfect.... love the crinkled music. I've used music recently also. You always come thru with the fun ideas :)
