Chipping with Charm: Canning Jar Snowman...http://www.chippingwithcharm.blogspot.com/

Do you remember my snowman made from fish bowls?

It's one of my most "popular" Christmas posts from a couple of years ago.  You can visit "him" HERE.

This year I decided to make a little "mini" version for our booth at Antiques Downtown.

I started with assorted canning jars...this is "Mason".  Filled them part way with fake snow...

...and a little heart ornament.

Then I filled a clear glass ornament with a little more snow and glued it on with Amazing Goop glue.
When that dried, I glued on a silver sugar bowl lid for a hat.

Then I added some burlap ribbon scarves and sparkly accessories.

And "Presto"...she feels kind of "fancy" with her tree pin.

"Mason" had a little "accident"...so he stayed here with me for a little extra TLC.

The other 2 went to our booth...

...along with their bigger brother "Atlas".

I will be linking my new friends up the the Junkers United Christmas Link Party which is still going on.  Stop back often to link up all of your Christmas junk...and peek around.
The "Junkers United" team will continue to pin from the party to Funky Junk Donna's Junker's United Christmas Pin Board.

Spring Mantel '13...aqua glass, jars and JUNK...

I've been "playing"...

I LOVE switching things up for Spring...even though it's still VERY snowy here in MN :)

Raise your hand if you like aqua glass...

...and lots a junk!!
(PS...Yes, these are vintage Delco glass battery cases.  I got them a while back at the Goodwill.  You can see that older post HERE :)

You know I do :)

I was actually going to hang this canning rack above the sign...I set it here to go get my hammer and...TA DA!  There it stayed.

I decided it was "unexpected" an fun.
(Another PS...I got that sign for my birthday...you can have one too!!  It's from DAYSPRING.com)

A couple of paper birds clipped on for "cute".

The "down low"...

...more junk of course.

Remember my STRIKE PLATE CROSSES?
Did you see Carlene's version over at ORGANIZED CLUTTER?
Love them :)

How about my barn trolley...turned junky bird cage??

Party Lights...

So with the 4th of July just a couple of days away...most everyone is looking for cute party ideas.
I'm not actually hosting at my house this year...but I do have entertaining on my mind with our deck and patio all "cute-ed" up.
(If you want to see that you can take a peek HERE)
So when I saw the fun solar lights in jars Kelly made over at Eclectically Vintage...
(go over and check hers out HERE)
and since I have about a "million" glass canning jars...I decided to whip some up too :)

I made mine pretty much the same way she made hers...only I used jars I had on hand and tied on some twine for fun.

I twisted off the base...

...added sand to the jar for weight and tucked in my light. I was going to leave the like that until I realized I needed something to cover the top...just in case...

So I added a little waxed paper and some lid rims...which I also had on hand.

So there they will sit...
looking cute all day, charging up...

...so they can light up at night.

I'm thinking I'll make a bunch more...they will be fun to tuck in...

here...

...and there for parties...much safer than candles, and cheaper than battery operated tealights and batteries :)

I think it is the perfect party addition to my little buggy pedal plant/wreath hooks.

And I thought the blue cow tags looked kind of patriotic with my red and white petunias :)

Don't you?

Hope those of you in the US have a safe and fun 4th of July celebrating.
God Bless America!!
