Hello friends, hope all of my US friends had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had a fun and busy week of no school fun. My kids are back in school and I am playing "catch up" here.
I thought I'd stop for a bit and share my Christmas mantel with you...
It all started with that sign I shared with you in my FALL MANTEL POST.
I've had these 2 thrift-ed cuties for a while now. My daughter thinks they look like us :)
I added some chippy hinge wings for fun.
I found a couple of coordinating angels at the thrift store more recently.
Those metal music hanging were thrift-ed too. I almost put them back on the shelf...not my usual style. But something inside said "buy them"...so glad I did.
Of course of twinkle lights.
...and a vase angel.
My daughter loves to play with the nativity set. This year I added a little bench for her. I hope it will be as a good of a memory for her as it its for me!
So that's that for this year.
Here's a peek back at what I did last year...
Similar elements...but different.
I like to switch things up each year and season.
This is really the focal point of our home and I want it to be warm and inviting.
Thanks for stopping by...
The Christmas decorating is almost done and the booth projects are in full swing.
I'll be back SOON with more!
Blessings,
I love everything about this especially the nativity scene! I think that it's great how you are encouraging your daughter to enjoy something as much as you did. I love seeing how you create beauty with simple things :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Krista!!

ReplyDeletewarmly,

Thanks so much Deb! That sign was from Les Junc in Zimmerman. Have you been to the shops there? Fun ones :)
DeleteIt all looks just lovely! Your mantel is very pretty. I have the same angel you have (blowing the flute. I have a set of them-they belonged to hubby's grandmother and sat on her piano-the 2nd one I have is playing a harp. As soon as I saw your sign that song started sounding in my head and I bet I will hum it all day long tomorrow. Love it!!! xo Diana
