Our light fixure by the front door has always been a dilema...low ceilings mean no fun/fancy light fixture. When I saw this rusty, crusty basket at a local Occasional Sale...I knew just what I would do with it.
A basic light fixture, with S hooks spray painted to match hold the basket just so...
Perfectly crusty...
A "hap-hazzard" collection of crytals and keys add a little "something"...
I found out later that this treaure of a chippy flower basket originally belonged to my friend Lani of Cottage Elements. Thanks Lani...
This was another idea origially posted on Junk Market Style...and it even earned a "mention" in the "Best of 2009" posts :)
I'll be linking this up over at FJI, Saturday Nite Special...does this count as a "chandelier"???
And...
Chat soon,
By all means, it counts. How clever of you! I really like the mix of crystals and keys, etc. Makes it even more unique!

ReplyDeleteHi Laurel,
ReplyDeleteI just saw this featured over at Whisperwood Cottage and I LOVE it!!!! I have a similar basket that's not so gorgeously rusted, but you have definitely inspired me! I hope you don't mind if I "steal" your idea and incorporate it into my eventual kitchen redo!
