We had the perfect spot for them all set up...a couple of primitive cabbage cutters...
...complete with rusty bits.
And a couple of birds perched and ready.
We took a walk each day admiring the lilacs on the rest of the neighbors' bushes...but our blue jars sat empty.
Until today...finally...
We ran right out and clipped away.
And of course took some pictures :)
I'm tempted to add some to every room in our house.
How about you??

Have a great weekend!
Aw, I love this! I felt like we waited a long time for Lilacs here, too. I just threw my last little bunch away today, and I'd love to go find some more, but it might be too late. I love your pretty arrangement, and your little photographer is adorable : )

I just love lilacs! Your kitchen must smell heavenly. My lilacs didn't last long this spring. Wishing you a great weekend.

Your table looks amazing. It must have been killing you to wait for the lilacs. Those cabbage cutters are a great idea for the table. And your daughter is adorable taking her own photos!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful like everything else you do!
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend!

I love lilacs. It's fantastic having a bush outside my kitchen window. :) Your display is beautiful and elegant, just like the lilacs!
ReplyDeleteLaurel,
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and just found you and became a follower. Your table looks so pretty.

Beautiful arrangement -- love the blue Mason jars and the addition of the book and birds! LOVE lilacs -- ours have come and gone. Wish they lasted all summer!
ReplyDeleteAhhh....I can smell them from here. We have a line of dwarf lilacs planted along our driveway and for about three weeks, I was greeted with the best smell as I got out of the car. Sadly, the blooms have moved on. I guess I'll just have to convince you to send me some :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful centerpiece! Love your little photographer too! :)
ReplyDeleteYour centerpiece is just gorgeous! We enjoy the smell of our lilac bush wafting through the window!
