Forgive me...again ;)
Things still look a "little bit" Christmas-y around here.
I'm just not quite ready to pack it all up...not yet.
Maybe it's because it all went so fast...I didn't get to show you everything.
...like this rusty "crown" around my nativity. Or those spring-y bottle trees.
Or my twinkling basket bouquets.
...with these cool "Fire Bombs"...another fun gift from my Country Junk friends.
Or maybe it's because my sweet hubby and I both did a little extrs celebrating over the Holidays. We BOTH had a "big" birthday.
All those wreaths came in handy ;)
I guess it's probably a combination of all those things...and more But whatever the reason...I'm going to enjoy the "twinkle" for a few more days. I'll pack it all away this weekend...and be back to "normal" next week.

Happy New Year friends,
Can't wait to see what God has in store for 2013!!
Blessings,
I can't believe you are 40. Seems like just a *twinkle* ago I thought the same thing for myself.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and Birthday too.

I don't have all my decorations down yet either. The neutral colors make your decorations transition from Christmas to winter better than the traditional colored ones.
ReplyDeleteLaurel your Christmas decorations are gorgeous! I love all the rusty junk! BTW my decorations aren't coming down until this weekend either! Happy New Year!

It's no wonder you want to leave all your pretty treasures up a bit longer. Doesn't it look so empty when it's all put away. Happy belated birthday and a very happy 2013.
ReplyDeleteI just put mine away on Monday and I was sad to see it go. I did leave a little bit of the greenery and pine cones out so I wouldn't have a totally naked house. Loving the rusty gears under your nativity set.
ReplyDeleteSo many pretty things. I love the bundt pan with the jute! So cute!

I don't blame you for leaving some of your Christmas decorations up. Very pretty. I too, am doing a little of that and adding more. I hated to put away the snowmen. Love your decoration with the rusty primitives. The rusty saw blades under the Nativity set is very unusual, but effective ... and the crown ... I should have thought to use the one that I have. DUH !!! Glad you mentioned the bottle spring trees ... that should be an easy copy. Snow and a little greenery in them would look cute too. Thank for the inspirations.
