I'm still having fun outside...
When I saw this attachment for a paint mixer at the flea market on Saturday...I knew just what I would do with it :)
Just add a couple of rusty bits...and you've got yourself a garden stake.
Yep, it's that easy :)
(PS...I put mine in an area of my landscaping where nobody goes...if you are thinking of putting this somewhere that someone might fall or hurt themselves, you should skip the sharp drill bits. Gotta be safe!!)

I actually got the idea a couple of years ago at a flea market in Florida. My husband talked me out of lugging a paint mixer on the plane. So when I saw this one here near home...it was mine in an instant...and I got the "eye roll" from my husband, again ;)
I would say this in the same junk flower "species" as the rusty bit flowers I made this winter for the Junk Market shows. Remember them?
Whimsical...quirky? Whatever...I guess that's my "thing" :)

Love it! A bunch would be even better! Just ignore those eye rolls...:)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE whimsical and quirky! Good job!

These are fabulous! I can just see you now trying to get a paint mixer on a plane....don't think you'd get too far. I get the eye roll too, but never a comment. I think he knows better.
ReplyDeleteLove your flower!
ReplyDeleteSo creative - love it!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! Brilliant!!
ReplyDeleteLaurel, that is fabulous! Now, the pointy drill bit looks a bit dangerous. I'd hate for your husband to fall on it and give you a really big eye roll.
ReplyDeleteVery cute idea.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea...love it! just found you and now following linky
ReplyDeleteLOL -- I think your brain would be a nightmare to try to analyze (that's a compliment!). You have such talent for seeing these in a different light!
ReplyDeleteThis post was meant for me today. I was at a sale today and looking at some fellows table of rusty tools and spikes or whatever. When I was holding some kind of metal stake thing he said you need a tool chisel like a smart ___ comment ... right and I said no thanks just thinking about what I can turn it into. The look on his face priceless.
ReplyDeleteThis may be the cutest junk flower I've ever seen!!!! I love your cleverness!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an original, fun idea! That paint mixer never had it so good.
ReplyDeleteCute!
ReplyDeleteWhimsical, quirky, clever and cute! I would expect anything less from you Laurel!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your creativity at Potpourri Friday!
Be careful. I wouldn't want your kids to get hurt from that paint mixer flower.
