Shoe Form Photo Holders

Here's a simple idea for a photo holder...a shoe form, a vintage mortise lock (had to look that up :)) and a magnet...

And you've got yourself a fun way to display a picture.

Junk Market...Trunk Show, Done :)

Wow, SUCH a fun day!!!  Great to see "old" friends and make some new ones! 

As I mentioned before, I shared a booth with my friends from the Country Junk Sale and Signs of the Times.  We were among 15 vendors invited to this smaller show to promote the bigger show coming up in March...more info on the JunkMarket Under Glass March Madness Sale, March 1, 2 and 3, 2012...HERE. 

I promised to share pictures of our booth...so here goes...

(I'll try to keep the "chit chat" to a minimum)

Here we are, "Booth Mates"...Larry from The Country Junk Sale , Me, Joan from Signs of the Times.

Lots of cool "junk" totes and tins...from Larry...

As well and primitive style furniture pieces...handcrafted using salvaged materials.

The wine grate made a "re-appearance"...along with my WINE BOTTLE SPRINGS.

Check out that coffee table with the metal wash stand base.  So fun!  It didn't sell at this show so you'll probably see it at the March show...that is if I don't buy it first???  It would look great on my THREE SEASON PORCH, don't you think?

Snowy Day = Project Day!!!

We are finally getting a little snow here in Minnesota...and it just happens to be my one full "project" day...minus my "little helpers".  So I plan to cozy up at home and dig in!  Wish me luck...and some "Divine Inspiration"...

I'll tell you more about these sweet little flowers I've been puttering around with soon, promise :)

Not As "Fussy" Winter Mantel...

Still getting things back in order around here...

The first thing to get it's new "simple" winter look is that mantle...mantel?  However you spell it :)

You might remember it's "fussy" look from Christmas...you can re-visit that post HERE.

Still using those big crusty hooks for this table runner turned garland...

...still loving them. :)

I bought 2 of these live potted trees early November...and guess what?!?  They are still alive.  And what's that?  Is that new growth I see?  Now that's a Christmas miracle for sure :)

I love decorating for Christmas but I also love scaling back in January...it feels great to get back to the "tried and trues" and re-think things a bit...both in decorating and in life.

Packing, Sorting and Cleaning...oh my...

Hello again...yes, we're still alive, no I haven't had time to do anything creative worth sharing...

I've been running around like a tornado packing up Christmas, sorting through closets and cleaning up remnants of Christmas greens.  And since I'm not very good at "multi-tasking"...I've felt need to focus on that this week.

Hope all is well in your part of the world...
