Posts of Christmas Past...

Well, I don't know about you...but I can't wait to get my house decorated for Christmas!!!
I started getting "that feeling" even earlier this year.  I'm not sure if it's the blanket of snow we've already received here in Minnesota...or the events/sales I've had the pleasure of being a part of this fall...whatever it is, I'm ready to get going!
I decided to take a peek back at some of my JunkMarket Style posts for last Christmas for a little inspiration for this year and these are the things that got my wheels turning...

Handmade ornaments...

Warm glow of candlelight...and fresh greens...

And special ways to focus on the real "Reason for the Season"...
Past JMS post..."The Halls are Decked"

Gifts for my "junky" friends and family...

Weloming ideas for the front porch...

Well, I guess I'd better get busy for this year!
So tell me, what's inspiring you this Christmas???

Junk for Entertaining...

I found these chippy wooden rings at a recent junk show and I knew just what I would do with them...fun, junky and easy napkin rings. Thought I'd whip some up fast in time for the holidays.

A few of these...
(Are these drapery rings? Think so but not sure...no drapes at my house ;)

Some random junk...

And assorted buttons...all tied on with thin natural colored twine.

And you get this...

I "went to town" and made a whole bunch...fun, fun, fun...

Who do you suppose will get this one? We'll see if they notice, I'm pretty sure my 6 year old will catch on right away ;)

I think they pair nicely with my wine bottle springs...how about you?

Happy Wednesday, Laurel

Just My Size...

So my husband is a really great guy and he does many, many sweet things for me but "thoughtful gift giving" is not on the top of his priority list.  But I think he's hit the "nail on the head" with this one.  This new shed he's having built for me is just my size...

Do you remember this Daring to Share post?  Well, this is his side of the garage.  So I'd guess this would be his inspiration for the "thoughtful gift".  The snow will be flying soon here in Minnesota, won't it?

He designed it with an extra large peak for even more storage upstairs...my son thinks it would be a great place for a "sleepover", but he may have to "fight" me for it ;)

I'm going to try NOT to fill this up...think I can do it?

Mr. CwC and I compromised on the exterior...he wanted everything new and maintenance free but I talked him into atleast looking for fun chippy old posts.  And don't you worry, it will have lots of "junky" details.

Yep, I think my "Little Charmers" like it too :)

Thanks for visiting...I'm sorry I'm not a better "blogging friend".  Someday I will have more time to peek around and chat...
Someday...

Candlestick Finials

Do you have certain thrift store items that you alway scoop up? I have this thing for finials...I always grab them up an there they sit. Although they do look quite lovely all together in a bowl, I also had a large quantity of assorted candleholders from an event I decorated for at church last Christmas. And the "marriage" of these 2 thrift store finds make a pretty little "set about".

For this grouping I chose similar colored finals in differing shapes...but the options are endless.  A little industrial strength glue and you're all set.

I love how they look all clustered together.  And like always for me...super easy too :)
